Espen Gabrielsen
Partner responsible for CFO Advisory, with more than 30 years of leadership experience in finance – and over 15 completed interim assignments.
Experience and expertise
Espen has held key finance and leadership roles in media, shipping and auditing. He spent 19 years with TV 2 Gruppen, including as CFO of TV 2 Interaktiv and Nettavisen, Director of New Media and Commercial Director of the pay-TV business Betal-TV. He led the build-up of the web TV venture that became TV 2 Sumo, now TV 2 Play. Before that, he was part of the group management of KGJS Rederi.
As an interim manager he has served as CFO, chief accountant and controller in energy, industrial, technology and food companies, including Corvus Energy, Scandza, Gexcon and Eltel Networks. He has particular experience of acute liquidity situations, refinancing and dialogue with banks, capital raising, ERP replacements and putting finance functions in order. He has also led integration work after acquisitions, demergers and mergers.
Espen is building up CFO Advisory at Agile Gruppen. He also takes on full interim assignments and defined support within finance functions himself. He has chaired the board of Norges Mobil TV and served as board secretary at TV 2 Interaktiv and Nettavisen.
He holds a business degree specialising in finance from Heriot-Watt University in the United Kingdom, and began his career as an auditor at Forum Touche Ross, now Deloitte.
